About Me: I study how this organ in our heads can make us so smart and so human, with emphasis on memory. I have dual appointments with Dr. Robert Knight (University of California, Berkeley) and Dr. Noa Ofen (Wayne State University), where I lead the intracranial EEG program. At the Knight Lab, I use intracranial and scalp EEG to study memory in the intact and damaged human brain. I am also a Science Mentor for the journal Frontiers for Young Minds. Publications with the Knight Lab: Elizabeth L. Johnson, Callum D. Dewar, Anne-Kristin Solbakk, Tor Endestad, Torstein R. Meling, Robert T. Knight. Bidirectional frontoparietal oscillatory systems support working memory. Current Biology, 2017. Elizabeth L. Johnson, Robert T. Knight. Intracranial recordings and human memory. Current Opinion in Neurobiology, 2015.
